    Paris Walk

Walking tours are free!! One of the best ways to explore a city is by walking. I was in Paris for eight days and besides my work, I was walking around, each day discovering something exciting and new. I also took the metro and the local buses. The Paris metro is one of the best systems and the oldest in the world….almost on par with New York and London. There are more than 300 stations. So you can cover more distances by taking a train and then explore the new area by walking. Just ensure you have a light backpack, comfortable shoes, a bottle of water and a great smile.…

    Paris Cookbook Fair

I was doing a cooking demo at the Paris Cookbook Fair 2012 which was held Le 104, 19th Arrondissement, Paris, France. This was the first time, I was doing a cooking demo to an audience of winning cookbook authors and top food industry people. It was indeed an enriching experience. Unfortunately, I could not get better pictures!

    Aquarium of the Bay

A visit to the Aquarium of the Bay is a must when in San Francisco. It was amazing to see the riches that lie beneath the surface of the bay and the surrounding waters. The walk through the crystal clear tunnels as I watched the fish swim overhead is so unforgettable. I heard there are more than 30,000 sea animals living in the bay and along the Californian coastline.

    Papua New Guinea -Paradise Undiscovered

Few days before we left for PNG, friends and relatives, have been cautioning us with regards to our safety. Everyone had a story to tell “better to go in groups otherwise you will be robbed”; “they drink human blood”; “it is a land of uncivilized people running around with bows and arrows”; “don’t venture out on the streets after dark and during the day”. The last sentence was said by my mother! You can see from these photos that I truly enjoyed my work cum holiday in Papua New Guinea. It is truly a paradise undiscovered.

    Food Event at Airway Hotel

The Airways Hotel is one of the best hotel in Papua New Guinea! It is an independent hotel and has over 500 staff, hotel rooms, apartments, restaurant, bars, cigar lounge, a good gym, retail outlets, a spa and only 2 minutes from the international airport. I was in this hotel to teach the kitchen staff to cook Asian food and to conduct master cooking classes that were opened to the public. It was one of the most enlightening experiences in my life - working in a modern large kitchen but with lots of staffs who were not hospitality or culinary school trained. At times, the staffs here were so quick…
