How to Fry Fryums

To deep fry fryums, follow these steps:

Pour enough oil into a deep frying pan or pot to submerge the fryums completely. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches the desired frying temperature, which is typically around 175-190°C.

Carefully add a few fryums to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them in batches to ensure they cook evenly and do not stick together.

Fry the fryums in the hot oil until they puff up and turn golden brown, which usually takes 1-2 minutes. Use a slotted spoon or strainer to gently move the fryums around in the oil for even cooking.

Once the fryums are crispy and golden, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the hot oil and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels. This will help absorb any excess oil.

Once the excess oil has been drained, the fryums are ready to be served hot and crispy. You can enjoy them as a standalone snack or serve them with your favorite dipping sauce or chutney.

Repeat with remaining batches: Continue frying the remaining batches of fryums in the same manner until all the dough shapes are cooked and crispy.

Remember to be cautious when deep frying to avoid splattering hot oil. It’s important to monitor the temperature of the oil and adjust the heat as needed to prevent the fryums from burning. Enjoy your homemade fryums as a delicious and crispy snack!
