It was my first-time experience of eating Fijian Goat Curry with Steamed Taro. Do you know that taro has been a staple of the Fijian diet for centuries, and that it is so important that Taro Day is celebrated on first full moon in May?
Because goat meat is lean, it can dry out quickly when boiled on high heat. Slow cooking on low heat with appropriate spices is the perfect way to cook goat meat. This results in tender and amazingly flavourful dish with thick sauce.
