Rice for Biryani
Basmati rice is renowned for its unique, fragrant aroma that enriches the biryani experience. When cooked, its grains elongate significantly—up to 2-3 times their original length—maintaining individual shapes and resulting in a fluffy texture. This prevents clumping, making it ideal for layering with meat and spices. Basmati's subtly sweet, slightly nutty flavor complements spiced meat, and its distinct floral aroma enhances the dish's fragrance.

I AM A RICE COOKER!
Across the world and particularly in Asia, there are similarities between the techniques used in the various culinary traditions. It is safe to assume that techniques mastered in a particular cuisine should, by and large, be applicable to others as well. One merely needs to fine-tune and modify the methods to suit individual palates and taste buds. Barbecuing, for instance, is a cooking method that is practically universal. It is popular across Asia, from Mongolia and Japan to Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand in Southeast Asia. The difference is only in the ingredients used.

Tasmanian Beauty
Tasmania is a giant animal and fauna sanctuary. You can see different types of birds or watch dolphins and seals frolicking in the wild. Rugged Tasmania is the perfect place for walking through rainforests, climb cliffs and or just stand on top of jagged mountain peaks. At times, I felt like I was the only one on Earth……..it is just heavenly.

My Animal Friends in Tasmania
I can’t believe I met so many friendly and tame animals until I look at these photographs. I found these animals in the farms I stayed or when taking a walk. They were so friendly and some walked along with me for miles. There is nothing like solitude with a friend who walks with you and not talk to you.
